Wolseley has been successful with two prestigious award wins at the 2023 H&V News Awards. The event held at London’s Hilton Metropole Hotel, saw Wolseley Pipe Centre scoop the Collaboration of the Year Award alongside Polypipe Building Services, before Wolseley was announced as the proud winner of the Diversity & Inclusion Award.

The Collaboration of the Year Award was won due to an innovative initiative created by Wolseley’s Pipe Centre along with Polypipe Building Services, to help customers minimise waste by depositing PVC pipe offcuts, obsolete products, plastic packaging and bulk bags into collapsible pallet stations at Wolseley sites. This first of its kind scheme sees the pallets collected and taken to a Polypipe site where the material is recycled, providing environmental benefit.

Furthermore, the Diversity & Inclusion Award win was secured by Wolseley’s creation of a Fairness & Respect Board, along with a Pride Month campaign including the AKT Fundraiser which supported LGBTQIA+ youths impacted by homelessness.

The two award wins are a testament to Wolseley’s contribution to innovation, excellent service and making a positive impact.

“This was an evening of great exposure and recognition for our business. To have received such acclaim across two categories is a fantastic achievement and something we all feel very proud of” said John Hancock, Chief Operating Officer, Wolseley Group. “We’re a value-led organisation and it’s really encouraging to see our efforts to minimise our impact on the environment and have a positive impact recognised. A huge congratulations and thank you to all colleagues who have contributed directly to these successes.”
