Wolseley UK announces formal exchange of contracts with Saint-Gobain for the acquisition of Ideal Bathrooms.

This follows the announcement in December that Wolseley had acquired Neville Lumb, DHS and Bassetts, who were also owned by Saint-Gobain, and that it was in exclusive negotiations to buy Ideal Bathrooms.

The deal will see nearly two hundred people move across from Saint-Gobain to Wolseley UK.

As with the previous acquisitions, it will be a seamless transition with the business operating as normal, and there will be no change for customers.

Simon Oakland, CEO at Wolseley, commented: “The exchange of contracts with Saint-Gobain for the acquisition of Ideal Bathrooms is very exciting news for Wolseley, our customers and employees. Growing our business is central to Wolseley UK’s strategy as we continue to build on our ability to provide local, personal service and expertise to our customers each and every day.”
